María and Efrén Barrera’s story began in the heart of the restaurant industry, where they met while working side by side at a restaurant in Calistoga. What started as a shared workplace quickly grew into something much deeper.
After getting married, they welcomed their first daughter, Sofía, and two years later, their son Santiago. Becoming parents changed everything. Their children became their greatest inspiration, sparking a desire to build something meaningful not only for their family, but for their future.
Efrén spent over a decade working in a variety of restaurants, gaining hands-on experience, refining his craft, and developing a deep passion for food. With each kitchen he stepped into, his vision became clearer. He didn’t just want to work in the industry; he wanted to create something of his own.
Driven by that vision and supported by María every step of the way, they took a leap of faith and turned their dream into reality.
